What could be better than Silver Bullets?.... Oh yeah, Gold Medals!

Recently we received in the iconic Silver Bullets into our store and I think it is safe to say that they were extremely popular with the instant release and the restock selling out within hours. We also received a quick strike Air Max Zero release that follows signature cues of the Silver Bullets as they featured a Metallic Silver upper with hits of Varsity Red.

Now we know that the Silver Bullets are going to be a hard act to follow, but we think that the Gold Medals are the successor that will comfortably take the first spot.

97's are definitely a talking point for sneakerheads this year as it is their 20th Anniversary since the futuristic teched out sneaker was first released. However, the 'Gold Medal' was released in '99 but it is still an insanely sought after colourway.

Following the concept 'Less is More' the minimal aesthetic holds a beautiful sleek shape, that sits sublimely on the foot and creates a unique look that no other sneaker can compare to. The tongue branding features an oval badge made of Nubuck in black that matches the gold tones where the Varsity Red swoosh boldly contrasts and adds a hint of colour. The gold panelling has a matte texture to it which despite having a bold look doesn't have that shimmer which means it easier for men to rock these. 3M adorns some of the side panels allowing for that 24/7 flex, even in the night people will be checking your creps. The full air unit on the sole allows for a lightweight bounce with great responsiveness keeping you comfortable no matter how much city treading you do.

We have even compared the most recent rendition with the OG release to show how they stuck to its key aesthetic and holds its timeless look.

The Air Max Zero that is releasing at the same time also follows visual cues from the Gold Medals, with a Metallic Gold upper and subtle hits of Varsity red on the 'Air' branding on the flank as well as the tongue logo. The hyper fuse panelling makes for a slim and lightweight profile, the breathable mesh on the toe box keeps your feet feeling fresh whilst the nylon sock liner hugs your foot whilst keeping a secure fit.

Both pairs are releasing tomorrow at 08:00 am BST 18/5/17

Due to the limited stock available the Air Max 97 'Gold Medal' will be strictly limited to 1 pair per customer, any order that has multiple will be cancelled.
