Sneaker Focus: Saucony “Dirty Snow” Pack

Winter is coming. So prepare yourself with the latest pack from Saucony. Containing both the Shadow 6000 & Grid 8000 CL models. This pack has been nicknamed “Dirty Snow” because they replicate themes associated with winter, for example the translucent outsole imitates ice whilst the flecked panels pay homage to the record breaking snowfall in recent years as they imitate a blizzard.

Saucony released the Grid 9000s in a Dirty Snow colour-way last year, but this year’s pack is a complete upgrade on them if you ask me, the flecked textile that covered the entire kicks last year has been broken up with plush premium suede’s that creates a distinctly bold look allowing you to don the winter weather.

The Shadow 6000s are made up of a premium suede black upper that has been contrasted by the dirty snow flecks on the lower panels that wraps around the mudguard and heel creating a look that the sneaks have been trailing through snow. The 6000s contain a simple white midsole with an icy transparent outsole that emphasises the Dirty Snow name. The EVA midsole with an outer triangular lug system provides the wearer with stability and comfort. The black and white rope laces give a strong contrast which breaks up the shoe with a modern look.

The Grid 8000 CL uses a subtle colour palette consisting of a tonal grey upper that delicately blends out from the signature flecked blizzard panels, these also feature the white midsole with the translucent outsole which yet again the emphasises the dirty snow name. The 8000s contain the coveted G.R.I.D (Ground Reaction Inertia Device) which combines state-of-the-art technology with premium cushioning and are built for all day wear.

The details in both sneaks adds to an already strong drop, both kicks boasting an eye catching 3M detailing on the branding and underneath the perforations on the heel and around the ankle. The silky satin liner provides you with a cosy warm feel which will definitely come in handy when on a cold tedious walk in the winter, the thick rope laces provide a resilient look and piece really well with the flecked panels.

If you want are trying to create a bold look this winter, then the Shadows stark contrast will achieve this, but if you are wanting to get a little dirty then the Grids are definitely for you. I think this winter I want to get a little dirty so the Grids are my choice.

Both pairs available on the 10/12/16 at 00:00am GMT retailing at £105.00
