Air Jordan 11’s… need I say more?
The Air Jordan 11 was first released in 1995 when Michael Jordan made his comeback after retiring from basketball and had a short term trying his luck at baseball. When he stepped onto the court everyone was in amazement at how the 11’s was so thoroughly distinctive from any basketball sneakers produced before.
The 11s have had a premium upgrade in this latest release from Nike. Boasting a deep regal maroon colour throughout. The sneaks feature a luxurious velvet mudguard as opposed to the patent leather that originally made people crazy for them over a decade ago. The maroon is highly complimented by subtle gold accents on the metal Jumpman logo as well as gold stitching on the heel and tongue. The distinctive white midsole gives the sneakers some bang and finishes off the clean contemporary sneaks.
Nicknamed the “Heiress” because they are a women’s only release in a grade school size run (Sorry people with big feet, you can’t cop this heat!). Heiress stands for a female heir to a vast amount of wealth so the nickname is very fitting due to the velvet mud guard on the J's. These sneakers have a contemporary feel as velvet has come back into fashion recently due to brands like Haider Ackermann releasing a collection of bomber jackets and sweatpants made from velour, which has been worn by the likes of Kanye West and A$AP Rocky. These Jordan’s were first unveiled by Jordan’s first born daughter Jasmine Jordan when she posted a teaser photo online, which created a lot of hype.
Dubbed as one of the fans favourite style in the Jordan series. They are typically instant sell-outs like the ‘Space Jam’ colourway we recently stocked here. The Heiress should be no different, due to how unique they are compared to any other 11 colour-ways, so make sure you are quick on the day of release if you want your pair.
When we received these in-store they exceeded my expectations and I was more than disappointed that they didn't do these in my size. So those of you lucky sneakerheads who can fit into these, keep your eyes open for this release.
