The last release radar pre the top ten summaries of the year, highlighting some of the best in new and reissued bits from the week.
Kendrick Lamar - Damn (Collectors Edition)
Kendrick brings the final chapter to this year's Damn saga, dropping a reverse tracklist collectors edition. Kendrick's gone on the record to say that the reverse playing is actually the way it was intended to be, starting laid back and thoughtful and becoming more and more intense to the end.
Cheif Keef - Dedication
Keef is playing catch up. Stalling his career with a ridiculous number of infractions since his debut at 16, Keef has seen the rap landscape and now he wants some of it too. Hopefully it's not too little too late for him, Dedication is decent, but it's not the statement of intent we need.
Mick Jenkins - Like MacGyver
Mick Jenkins just gets his. He goes out there, does his thing, releases singles and mixtapes, goes and plays live, doesn't do the same thing twice, and features on some great tracks. He is raps consummate pro, just out there getting his and his only. This new track is cool.
