Music For The Sole! Release Round-Up 19/11

Back with a few more releases that you should be sticking on the office playlist this Monday.

Tame Impala - Currents B-Sides & Remixes

After teasing us with a potential special edition of their smash hit album, Currents, Kevin Parker and co have given us this 5 track taster of remixes and B-sides. You'd be hard-pressed to find anything wrong with these tracks though, as the originals are Kevin Parker at his grooviest and emotional. Remixes by Gum and Soulwax provide a nice change to the hits, with Soulwax's 'Let It Happen' Remix is a standout of the two, with its reinterpretation of the Disco Odyssey.

Burial - Pre Dawn / Indoors

Hot of the celebration of Untrue's 10th anniversary (read our retrospective from last week on the blog!) Burial treats us to his annual winter split. Pre Dawn and Indoors are a classic dance melding, taking the rhythm and sensibilities of the acid house rave scene that Burial grew up in, with an extra spice of that dark and atmospheric soundscape that Burial likes throwing into his tracks.

Hall & Oates - I Can't Go for That (No Can Do) - Pomo Remix

Dance extraordinaire Pomo throughs us a yacht rock throwback with a pounding disco rendition of Hall & Oates classic. It's a classy rendition all around, with Pomo bolstering an already dance floor proofed with the kind of finesse that's got his name on the lips of tastemakers the world around.

NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge) - Suede (Uptwnmixx)

Releasing another track from their Yes Lawd! Remix album, the team of .Paak and Knxwledge have taken their standout single, Suede, and slowed the pacing down to a vintage RNB jam. A tasteful guitar solo unpins this mixture of sex and sass from .Paak's pitched up vocals.
