Le Coq Sportif have helped to bring a little piece of Hawaii to Soleheven by teaming up with Hawaiin born Surf Design brand 'Town & Country', the two brands have teamed up together to collaboratively design two pairs of 90's inspired retro runners, build on the 1991 born 'LCS R8000' template, which follows up last years R8000 OG release. Each pair has its own unique charm, using retro inspired palettes on the perfect vintage sneaker silhouette. Both R8000 models have a special coconut scented fragrance infused into the outsole, attributing the wax surfers use to prepare their boards.
The first of the two pairs features a unique checker board design print on the interior and on the rear heel counter of the sneaker, which is a look you do not often see! The Sneakers uppers are a intricate combination of mesh panelled underlays and complimentary synthetic overlays, while the monochromatic palette is complimented by flashes of hot pink on the branding, laces and outsole. When you look at a pair from underneath, the two soles link together to show the Town & Country logo, printed underneath the translucent outsole.
The second pair from this Hawaii inspired collaboration uses a plush combination of Purples, pinks and teals above a white and grey template to give off that retro vibe from the offset. Like the pair before this, the sneaker features both Le Coq and Town & Country branding around the sneaker and also incorporates a uniquely printed outsole, this time using a flurry of 'T&C' branding in a 'wave' form underneath a translucent outsole.
Both variations from the collaboration are available from Soleheaven now!
