Music for the Sole: Action Bronson

Music For The Sole.

Alongside with the rise of contemporary and nuance rap music came a major blur between what is and isn’t ‘Hip-hop’. Through all the Youtube comment battles, one man has been turning heads in both the new school and old school sides of the rap spectrum: BamBam, AKA, Brosoliño, AKA: Action Bronson.

Being New York born and of Albanian decent, The former chef’s rise to respect came from his sheer wit, 'IDGAF' aesthetic and his smooth, yet in your face blend of new and old school Hip-Hop styles.

Off the back of his Mixtape successes ‘Blue Chips 1 & 2’ and his collaborative album with New-York producer Statik Selector: ‘Well Done’, Bronson released his first major label release ‘Mr Wonderful’ on Vice Records in March of 2015.

Action Bronson Mr Wonderful

With an excellent array of producers and collaborators including Mark Ronson, The Alchemist and Party Supplies from Blue Chips 1 & 2, Mr Wonderful features everything a Bronson fan will know and love with a smart mix of production values to add another step in Bronson’s ladder to the top. Soleheaven recommend ‘Baby Blue’, featuring Chance the Rapper on the hook and of course, OF COURSE, ‘Actin’ Crazy’ which is our favourite track from the record.

Bronson's unique personality played a vital role in his rise to fame. His rapid acceleration from underground MC to Youtube personality and festival headliner has partly been down to his engaging, hilarious and sometimes controversial lifestyle. Just watch these videos below and you will fully understand what we are talking about.
