Onitsuka Tiger had been producing trainers / sneakers since 1949, but it wasn't until the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 was released that the famous tiger stripes appeared.

The Mexico 66 was focused shoe for sprinters in the Mexico Olympics in 1966. Bruce Lee also wore the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 in 'Game of Death"
