In 1949 Keds launched their athletic range called Pro-Keds. From that point Pro-Keds immediately introduced basketball shoes, but in 1969 the Pro-Keds 69er lo came out. The Pro-Keds 69er lo was adopted as a core element of cool in the hip hop scene.
