Love Laces, Love Knots
It's easy to forget about laces, but they can MAKE or BREAK the overall look of your prized sneaks.
This page provides you with a few ideas on various ways to lace em up....enjoy!
The Lattice
- The lace goes straight across the bottom. Feed them up through the bottom eyelets.
- Cross over the ends and feed down into the 4th set of eyelets.
- Both ends now run up and emerge from the 5th set of eyelets.
- Cross over the ends and feed down into the 2nd set of eyelets.
- Both ends should now run up and emerge from the 3rd set of eyelets.
- Cross over the ends and feed under and emerge from the top set of eyelets.
The Display
- The lace is run straight across the bottom and is fed down into the bottom eyelets.
- Cross over the ends and insert into the next set of eyelets.
- This is repeated until you reach the top set of eyelets.
The Zip-Up
- Run the lace across the bottom and fed up through the eyelets.
- The ends are looped back under the lace where it feeds under the side of the shoe.
- The ends are then crossed over each other, then they go under and out through the next set of eyelets.
- Then repeat steps 2 & 3 until you reach the top set of eyelets.
The Chainsaw
- Run the lace straight across the bottom and feed the ends up into the eyelets.
- The right hand lace end should run straight up to the 2nd eyelet, and across.
- The other end runs diagonally underneath skipping the 2nd set of eyelets and emerges from the 3rd set. They run across the shoe and into the opposite eyelet.
- Continue running each lace diagonally across, and up 2 eyelets
The Chessboard
- Start with 2 pairs of different coloured laces with the same approx dimensions.
- Pick a colour and lace across using the Chainsaw. (above)
- With the other colour start at the bottom of the shoe and weave the lace in and out of the other lace until you reach the top.
- Fold around the top and head back down to the bottom weaving in and out.
- Continue across the shoe until our out of lace.
- Finally, simply tuck in the loose ends.
This is just the start, so keep watching for more ideas.
