Sole Digger

In 2009 TV Producer and Photographer Lester Jones created the alterego Sole Digger, through which he devised the project I Dig Your Sole Man.

The project see’s Lester searching high and low to find, shoot and write about the ‘Sole of street style’ as he investigates the universal bond of how we all love, wear and use sneakers in our everyday lives. Although based in Sydney, Australia, the project see’s Lester travelling to the world’s style capitals to find interesting subjects, and in just in just 18 months his unique eye for urban style has seen his work become an International phenomenon as one of the world’s freshest new style blogs.

B-Boy Slammo

B-Boy SlammoSlammo first started dancing back in 1983 at the young age of six. His love for the dance developed over the years and soon became a member of a local crew called H2.
The guys in H2 where about 5 years older than him but he still managed to get out and represent with them on a weekly basis and regularly attended the local working mans club for the under 18′s disco where battles would blow up between the local crews and followers of the trend.

This was clearly an attempt to recreate the battle between New York City Breakers and Rock Steady on Beat Street the movie and was the capsule of time that he became hooked!
As time past H2 members became more involved in the skate and BMX scene which Slammo also followed yet he stayed true to his heart and trained in his own environment until quitting in 1992 where he pursued his MC skills with MNP and hosted Jungle raves in the mountains of South Wales and giant warehouses across the UK.

This is the period of time when Slammo learned some dangerous life lessons and when he also developed his skills further in the skate culture soon earning the name (Slam) by the way he hit the floor on mad attempts to jump big rails and steps.
This name was also enhanced soon after coming back to the dance as he had a similar weight and agility to Samo Hung hence Slammo Hung!

It was not until he started breaking again in 2003 after stopping for 11 years of chaos! that he reolised what he really had to offer in terms of the dance and he began his education  of the history and the foundation that needs continually to be studied as well as absorbing the scene and leaving a foot print for representing the culture as a whole. This lead to the birth of Elemental Force and the development program called Get Fresh and is now working within the perfect template for development of young people who have the desire to become well rounded and positive BBOY’S/BGIRLS.

Since Elemental Force began he has seen young children become teenagers who are now standing with him on the battlefield and waving the flag for the culture.
Slammo has had a lot of great opportunities to travel and meet people all over the world and is so grateful for the opportunity to see the power of Real BBOY culture and its universal appeal.
